The Reason You Started Your Direct Sales Business…

Chances are you made the decision to start your Direct Sales Business because you wanted…

  • Extra money
  • Loved the products
  • Flexibility
  • Freedom
  • Prizes
  • Recognition
  • Parties
  • Girls night out
  • Travel
  • Friendship
  • FUN!

These are just some of the countless reasons why you may have started your Direct Sales business, but I bet it’s safe to say none of the reasons included:

  • Replying to emails
  • Mailing catalogs and samples
  • Calling to confirm appointments
  • Creating newsletters
  • Sending cards
  • Researching new products

Most Direct Sellers LOVE being well…Direct Sellers!  You love going to parties, meeting new people, sharing your amazing products and having fun.  You enjoy sharing your knowledge and training new consultants, meeting new prospects, attending your
companies events.  Being a Direct Seller is FUN!  When you go to work it’s a party!  That is what you do best!  You are a Superstar after all!

I started my business to help support your business!  There is nothing I enjoy more than helping a Superstar gain more time doing what she loves to do.   The list of tasks that you know are important but don’t enjoy doing are what I do best!

Your Doctor has a nurse, a dentist has a hygienist, a chef has a server, a CEO has an executive assistant, even your favorite celebrity has a personal assistant!  Each talented occupation has a supportive counterpart…direct sales is no different.   Your skill and talent is in sharing your product and opportunity…mine is in helping grow your business by providing you the support you need.

Melissa H. Dery is The Golden Rule Virtual Assistant (VA) providing Virtual Business Management to Direct Sales leaders.  A former direct sales consultant, Melissa also grew up in a direct selling family.  She knows firsthand about the “behind the scenes” work required to help your business grow and prosper.

When Melissa combined more than 20 years of experience as an administrative professional with her desire support those in direct sales and The Golden Rule VA was born.  Her mission and her “rule” are the same: to treat your business as if it were her very own, with respect, creativity and professionalism.

Melissa is married to her best friend and lives in New Hampshire with her two boys.  She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and a “Ducktoratte” Degree from Disney University.  She loves coffee, running and, most of all, camping with her family.
