Goal Setting

9 Jan

One of my favorite sayings by Zig Ziglar is “if you aim at nothing you will hit it every time”.  To succeed in life and business you need to set goals.  A new year is an excellent time to set goals for your business.  Start the process by evaluating 2010.  Consider what was effective and what didn’t work.  Then determine how you can maximize what was effective and change what wasn’t.

According to Anthony Robbins, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten”.  2011 is your time to make a change.  Ask yourself, “What do I want to accomplish in 2011?”  Consider: new products or services, number of new clients to be gained, desired gross revenue and your own personal development.  Create a detailed list and set specific goals for each of these areas.  Then evaluate your progress on a monthly basis and redirect your efforts when necessary.
